🎯 About the Role
As an Embedded Firmware Intern, you will work closely with senior engineers to develop and test firmware for IoT edge controllers, smart irrigation systems, and industrial-grade sensor gateways. This is a hands-on role where you will gain practical experience with high-performance STM32 microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 💻 Firmware Development: Assist in developing and testing firmware on STM32 microcontrollers.
- 🔌 Hardware Bring-up: Support the bring-up and testing of peripherals.
- 🔧 Toolchain Usage: Work with STM32CubeIDE, HAL, LL drivers, and CMSIS.
- Multitasking using FreeRTOS.
- 🌐 Peripheral Integration: Help integrate communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, and RS485.
- 📡 IoT Connectivity: Assist with LoRaWAN, MQTT/MQTTS, and BLE for device provisioning and data transmission.
- 🔬 Debugging: Use JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes to debug issues.
- 💽 Optimization: Support efforts in memory and CPU utilization optimization.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- 🎓 Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electronics, E&TC, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 👨💻 Strong foundation in C programming for embedded systems.
- ⚡ Exposure to STM32 (HAL/LL) or ESP32 (Arduino/ESP-IDF) development.
- 🧠 Basic understanding of STM32 microcontrollers and peripheral interfacing.
- ⚙️ Familiarity with RTOS concepts (FreeRTOS preferred).
- 💪 Strong debugging mindset and a "hands-on" approach to hardware.
- 💡 Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- 🔧 Good to Have: PCB Design Familiarity, prior experience with STM32CubeMX and HAL libraries, basic knowledge of wireless communication protocols, experience with PCB debugging.
- 🌱 Passion for agricultural or industrial automation systems.
