Mental Performance Consulting Intern

Support youth volleyball athletes by providing mental performance consulting and sport psychology expertise.

🎯 About the Role

This unpaid volunteer internship offers hands-on experience in sport psychology and mental performance consulting for youth athletes. You will build relationships with teams and coaches, facilitate sessions, and develop age-appropriate activities to enhance athlete well-being.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🤝 Build a consistent relationship with assigned team and coaching staff.
• 🏃 Attend at least one hour of assigned team's practice each week.
• 🗣️ Facilitate mental performance team sessions twice per month.
• 💡 Develop activities related to confidence, communication, focus, and motivation.
• 📝 Complete brief documentation and onboarding expectations.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 Current master’s student or recent graduate in sport psychology, kinesiology, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
• ❤️ Passionate about sport psychology and supporting adolescent athletes.
• 🗣️ Strong and dependable communicator, comfortable collaborating with athletes and coaches.
• ⭐ Eager to learn, receptive to feedback, and willing to take initiative.
• 🗓️ Able to consistently fulfill the agreed-upon weekly and seasonal commitment.

• reimbursment Approved tournament entry fees will be reimbursed if attending games/tournaments.

💰 Compensation: No stipend
