Food Service Worker

Prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and participate in catering functions while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation.

🎯 About the Role

This role involves preparing and serving food in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with menu plans, recipes, and safety regulations. You will also be responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🍳 Assist with the set-up of serving lines daily.
• 🥣 Prepare foods in accordance with the menu plan and recipes.
• 🔪 Operate kitchen equipment safely.
• 🧹 Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized.
• 🍽️ Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas, including equipment and dishes.
• 📦 Keep inventory stock organized and practice FIFO procedures.
• 🧑‍🍳 Prepare bread, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods.
• 🌟 Serve items with proper serving sizes and utensils, ensuring quality presentation and hospitality.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 📜 High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• 💬 Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• ➕ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute ratio, ratio, and percent.
• 🧠 Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions.
• ✅ Compliance with HACCP processes and procedures.
