🎯 About the Role

Prepare breakfast and/or lunch offerings and assist with serving lines. Participate in occasional catering functions and perform all positions within the kitchen. This role involves hands-on food preparation and customer service.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🍳 Assist with the set-up of serving lines and ensure food is at the required temperature.
• 🥣 Prepare foods in accordance with menu plan and recipes.
• 🔪 Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
• 🧹 Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized.
• 🍽️ Clean kitchen, cafeteria areas, equipment, and dishes.
• 📦 Keep inventory stock organized and practice FIFO.
• 🧼 Clean and maintain the dishwashing area.
• 🍎 Prepare and present bread, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods appealingly.
• 🧑‍🍳 Batch cooking to maintain quality and presentation.
• 😊 Serve items with proper serving sizes and utensils, ensuring quality presentation and hospitality.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🎓 High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one-month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 📝 Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• 🧮 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• 🤔 Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems in standardized situations.
