🎯 About the Role

As a Pilot Plant Intern at Sumitomo Biorational, you will gain exposure to engineering tasks focused on improving current processes, collaborating with R&D and Production teams, and documenting experimental work in a state-of-the-art facility.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 🔒 Support and comply with all safety and environmental training policies.
• ⚙️ Set up and monitor pilot-scale fermenters and downstream process unit operations.
• 📊 Analyze, summarize, and present pilot data to Research and Production Teams.
• 🚀 Recommend and implement process improvement ideas to Production.
• ⚖️ Perform heat and mass balance calculations.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🔬 Majoring in bioengineering, biotechnology, biochemical engineering, biology, or chemical engineering.
• 🗣️ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 🤝 Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary, diverse team.
• 💻 Excellent computer skills are desired.
• 📅 Must have flexibility to work some limited off-shift and weekend hours.
