Execute high-precision manual mold modifications for New Product Development, translating design concepts into physical molds for a leading global brand in the building materials sector.
🎯 About the Role
This role is pivotal in the transition from design CAD to ceramic production molds, ensuring accurate shrinkage factors and dimensional stability. You will be responsible for physical test castings, downstream dimensional checks, and leading trials to guarantee quality targets for product launches.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 📏 Apply accurate shrinkage factors to establish the required "green size".
- ✅ Perform checks on mold fitment and finish after CNC milling.
- 📝 Prepare modification reports based on test casting data.
- 🔧 Execute manual mold modifications to resolve functional and installation issues.
- ⚖️ Validate that modifications do not compromise the mold through "Before & After" comparisons.
- 🧪 Lead test casting of milled molds to identify gaps between required and actual output.
- 🧐 Inspect draft angles post-milling to prevent demolding failures.
- 💎 Perform "KANSA" checks of sample pieces at all stages.
- 📊 Prepare NPD trial reports and presentations.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- 🛠️ Proficiency in Manual molding, shrinkage factor calculation, and mold fitment analysis.
- 🏗️ Expertise in ceramic demolding processes and manual mold modification.
- 💡 Adaptability for sudden troubleshooting and strict focus on "Before/After" validation.
- 🎨 Expertise in Creo CAD (3D & 2D), Think Design, and Design X.
