Modelling Sr. Engineer/ Associate Manager

🎯 About the Role

This position focuses on manual mold modifications for New Product Development (NPD), ensuring accuracy in shrinkage factors and draft angles. You will validate digital designs through physical test castings and oversee CNC outputs.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📐 Apply shrinkage factors for accurate product sizing
• 🔧 Perform mold fitment and finish checks after CNC milling
• 📝 Prepare modification reports based on test casting data
• 🛠️ Execute manual mold modifications to resolve issues
• 📊 Validate modifications through dimensional comparisons
• 🧪 Lead test casting of molds to identify gaps
• ✨ Inspect draft angles to prevent demolding failures
• 🔍 Conduct GEMBA in sample mold lines
• ⚖️ Perform "KANSA" checks for dimensional stability
• 📊 Prepare NPD trial reports and presentations
• 🤝 Lead daily meetings with associates
• 💡 Collaborate with Case Makers for physical modifications
• 🚀 Identify and submit Kaizens for process improvement

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🔧 Proficiency in manual molding and shrinkage factor calculation
• 🔍 Expertise in ceramic demolding and dimensional "Kansa" checks
• 🔄 Adaptability for troubleshooting and "Before & After" validation
• 💻 Expertise in Creo CAD (3D & 2D), Think Design, and Design X
• 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (Ceramic Industrial Design)
• 📈 5-8 years of experience in hand modeling and mold development
