Modelling Sr. Engineer/ Associate Manager

Execute high-precision manual mold modifications for New Product Development, translating design concepts into physical molds. This role involves managing shrinkage factors and ensuring dimensional accuracy.

🎯 About the Role

This role focuses on executing high-precision manual mold modifications for New Product Development (NPD). You will be responsible for translating design concepts into ceramic molds by managing shrinkage factors, draft angles, and ensuring digital designs are validated through physical test castings.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• 📏 Apply accurate shrinkage factors for ceramic products.
• 🔍 Perform checks on mold fitment and finish after CNC milling.
• 📝 Prepare modification reports and provide input to the CAD Team.
• 🔧 Execute manual mold modifications to resolve issues found during trials.
• ↔️ Validate modifications by performing "Before & After" dimensional comparisons.
• 🧪 Lead test casting of milled molds to identify output gaps.
• 🧐 Inspect draft angles post-milling to ensure they are not negative.
• 📊 Perform "KANSA" checks of sample pieces at various stages.
• 💬 Respond to deviations and analyze loading gaps and dimensions.
• 📝 Prepare NPD trial reports and presentations.
• 📢 Lead daily meetings with Associates to align on priorities.
• 💡 Identify and submit Kaizens for process improvement.

✅ Requirements & Skills

• 🔧 Proficiency in Manual molding and shrinkage factor calculation.
• 📈 Expertise in ceramic demolding processes and dimensional "Kansa".
• 🔄 Adaptability for troubleshooting and strict focus on validation.
• 🎨 Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (Ceramic Industrial Design).
• 🛠️ 5-8 years in Hand modeling and mold development.
• 💻 Expertise in Creo CAD (3D & 2D), Think Design, and Design X.
