🎯 About the Role
This position focuses on executing manual mold modifications for NPD, managing shrinkage factors and draft angle accuracy. The engineer will validate digital designs through physical test castings and downstream dimensional checks, ensuring the transition from design CAD to ceramic production molds.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- 📏 Apply accurate shrinkage factors for "green size".
- 🔍 Perform checks on mold fitment and finish.
- 📝 Prepare modification reports based on test casting data.
- 🛠️ Execute manual mold modifications to resolve issues.
- ✅ Validate modifications through "Before & After" dimensional comparisons.
- 🧪 Lead test casting of milled molds.
- 🧐 Inspect draft angles post-milling.
- 📊 Perform "KANSA" checks of sample pieces.
- 📈 Prepare NPD trial reports and presentations.
✅ Requirements & Skills
- 🔧 Proficiency in Manual molding and shrinkage factor calculation.
- ⚙️ Expertise in ceramic demolding processes and dimensional "Kansa".
- 🔀 Adaptability for sudden troubleshooting and focus on "Before/After" validation.
- 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (Ceramic Industrial Design).
- 💼 5-8 years in Hand modeling and mold development.
- 💻 Expertise in Creo CAD (3D & 2D), Think Design, and Design X.
